Surveys

I would say that my results from the surveys were well off from my own results.  My results were that I was an effective listener and did not appear to nervous when speaking in public.  I chose my husband and a close friend of mind to take the surveys.  My husbands results viewed me as the total opposite.  That made me feel that I need to take a look at myself to see if I needed to change something.  However my close friends results were identical to mine.  That made me feel a little better about myself since my spouse had me out there in left field.  The surveys made me think long and hard about myself and how I viewed myself.

  1. I have read a few other posts where our classmates had their husbands do the survey and it is funny how the husbands view so different than friends or colleagues. My granddaughter did one on me and same thing. Makes me wonder and I think this assignment will make us all think about how we communicate in the future.

  2. I was very interested in the surveys and decided to allow my 10 year old son complete one on me. His results were almost like his dad. I felt that they were not being completely honest or thinking about what was being asked.

  3. Well Lavonda, it is funny how you and a few others reported that your husbands viewed differently. It is probably for the best interest of you and your communication skills because you have something to think about. You will be more specific on how you communicate with others based on your husband's responses. Remember, he should know you best! I did not feel that the assessments were set in place to say that we are bad people, but just to make us more aware of perception and communication skills.
