Codes of Ethics

Codes of Ethics

1.  To develop relationships of mutual trust and create partnerships with families we serve.
It is important that children, parents and teachers work together.  Working together can be a positive impact on the child’s life and educational experience.  It teaches the child how to interact with different people that they may encounter in society.
2. To assist the program in providing the highest quality of service.
I think that it is very important to provide the highest quality of service that you can offer.  Being a provider and educating children and using all resources that are available are going to have positive results on the children as well as the families.  Families will be satisfied with their child’s educational experience and will tell other parents about their child’s experience which will bring in more children to be able to experience early childhood education.
3.  To establish and maintain relationships of respect, trust, confidentiality, collaboration, and cooperation with co-workers.
The setting of the environment is very important.  Children can pick up on adult’s behavior.  Working together and communicating with each other in the work setting helps children build their relationship with their peers.  Being respectful and collaborating with each other is good and is very good in this field.  Working with young children can be stressful at times and your co-worker may be able to help if the confidentiality, collaboration and cooperation with co-workers are good.

Personnal Childhood Web

My mom had a positive impact on my life.  She has always been there for me and guided me in life.  When I was sad she was there.  When I needed someone to take too, she was there.  She told me that I can be anything that I wanted to be in life.  She should me how to be a good mom by setting an example raising my sister and I.  She is a hard worker woman that has worked hard in her life.  Without my mom I would not be who I AM TODAY.

My grandmother is a lady that I always thought I would be like.  My grandmother has eight children and I always wanted to be just like her.  She taught me that family is important and that no matter what they do to you, love them always.  I watch her love and care for everyone including all the grands.  She is still alive and she welcomes us in her home all the time.  She talks to me and tell me that I am a very wise little girl.  She always gave me positive words.  With the positive comments and knowing that she knew that I was smart took me far in school and to this day I continue to do my best and love my family.

My dad has not always been in my life but he inspired me to always try my best.  He was not in the home when I was a child but I visit him alot.  He would always tell me that if I try I will feel good about myself.  He told me to never give up in life.  I always kept what my father told me and applied it to ever thing that I did in my life.

My step-mother always encouraged me to never give up.  She told me to keep try trying until I get it.  She always told me to keep trying.  I applied this in my everyday life in school, at home and playing sports.  As I got older I realize that it was a reason why she told me to never give up.  I felt good about my self and I listen to what my family was trying to tell me.  They wanted what was best for me and with that in my mind I turned out pretty good.

My sister made me a responsible person.  I am the oldest but with that being said I had to look out for her.  I had to care for her when mom was at work.  She was my little baby and mama wanted me to take care of her when she was gone.  I had to protect her and look out for her.  She helped me to become a good mom.  Caring for her taught me how to care for children and handle my responsibilities.

These 5 people are all part of my childhood web and they all have had great influences on my life.  Without them being there when I was a child and encouraging me to do positive things I do not kn ow where I would be today.  I was lucky to have such encouraging people in my life as a child.

The Boy That Cried Wolf

This is one of my favorite childhood books.  I like this book because the moral lesson is about telling stories and needing help.  I used this book with my children on my case load and I explain to them how imporatnt it is to tell the truth.  I let them know that I am here to help them and if they don't tell me the truth then I will never know.

Passion for Early Childhood Field

I work with children everday and I love to know that I have made a positive impact on their lives.  I enjoy helping families and being able to provide services that helps the children to have a safe home environment.  When I lay in my bed at night I think about the children that we have saved and put in a better home environment.  Its tough but my pride and my mind tells me that the children are safe and are not at risk of future harm.
